'Dream Museum Convenience Store' - Build Your Dream Museum Collection Everyday! (2009)

Following the success of the community project ‘What is your dream museum?’ in 2008, Asia Art Archive called the community to build a collection for their dream museum by sending in an object or uploading an image on the website from April to May 2009.

We designed a new visual identity for the Dream Museum Convenience Store to echo with the theme. The project included from naming and identity to all prints and exhibition design and website.

Taking the most interesting response from the previous year, wishing the ideal museum to be ‘Like 7-Eleven’, Dream Museum Convenience Store was set up at ART HK '09 with a selection of 2009 dream museum collection responses in the form of written cards, photos and objects.

Like a convenient store, we wished to create an environment that the public can easily access, thereby contesting the traditional perceptions of the museum as a place of authority and exclusivity.

The website includes thousands of images and responses submitted by the community. They were exhibited in the Convenience Store with workshops and seminars took place in an open area. The project again successfully attracted massive attention locally and internationally.

繼2008年《夢.想.繆思庵》後,亞洲藝術文獻庫於2009年再在社區內招募大家心中「理想博物館」的提案,並上載到互聯網上的收集平台。

我們從去年收集到的意念中,選出最有趣的提案「像便利店般的博物館」,分析再轉化為今年的活動《夢.想.繆思庵》便利店的視覺形象。易懂簡潔的識別標誌,配以充滿活力的橙綠二色,一反博物館嚴肅和難以接近的感覺。

活動吸引了上千人參與,投稿內容在《夢.想.繆思庵》便利店的工作坊內展出,其後更巡迴至世界各地。
