‘Nature Transformer’ was the theme of Microwave International New Media Arts Festival in 2009. The theme addressed the relationship between ‘human’ and ‘nature’; blending art, technology and nature together; bought artists around the world together to discuss the ‘new nature’ modified by human, re-questioning whether human are protecting, creating, or destroying our beloved environment.

We created a series of ‘insects alike transformers’ representing human as criminals to nature, as the key visuals across all applications. Each ‘transformer’ was labeled with individual criminal number with height and weight indicated, addressing the ambiguity of ‘human’ and ‘nature’. Gold and brown were chosen as the festival theme colors as to further enhance such contradiction.

《自然反》是微波國際新媒體藝術節2009年的主題，混合藝術、生物科技與自然，探索「人」和「自然」的關係，反思人類憑自己的力量創造的「新自然」究竟是褔是禍、是保護還是破壞。

一系列發生了異變的「自然反（犯）」昆蟲貫穿了整個展覽視覺形象。被編號、記錄了的牠們象徵人類違反自然規律的証據，其異變的形態和來自大地的啡黃色描繪了人和自然不能明確劃清的關係。
