Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre Grand Opening Festival - Visual Identity (2011-2012)

Following the opening of the ‘Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre’ (CMC), the Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre Grand Opening Festival is celebrating the completion of the new building for City University of Hong Kong, which marks a new era for the professional education of creative media and communication, as well as a new architectural icon in Hong Kong.

World-famous architect Daniel Libeskind designed the building with bold and simple spatial forms; the architecture is also a crisscross of horizontal and vertical lines.

Making use of the formation essences of the architecture, we created the visual identity system for the Opening Festival celebrating the opening of the building, a brand new identity is also made for the ‘School of Creative Media’ (SCM) inside the new building.

Diagonal lines in different angles are employed to form the festival identity and the SCM new identity, to echo with the spirit and the form for the architecture across all applications from print and online publicity to environmental graphics and wayfinding system.

由世界著名建築師Daniel Libeskind設計的香港城市大學邵逸夫創意媒體中心,於2011年10月慶祝其落成並舉辦為期半年的開幕慶典藝術節。

給這座地標性建築所發,我們使用了簡約又富力量的斜線,為藝術節度身訂造了一套完整的平面視覺形象、環境識別及導示系統;此項目還包括進駐邵逸夫創意媒體中心的「創意媒體學院」的全新標誌。

創意媒體中心本身已經是一個有力而富有視覺元素的「標誌」。深入研究建築物內外與創意媒體學院的性質並剖析重組後,使用建築物本身獨有結構作為開幕藝術節及學院的視覺形象最為合適。

線與面組成的平面圖像,再配上與建築物相互呼應的顏色與字體、分佈在媒體中心每個角落,並應用在所有平面及線上推廣宣傳品上。
